The Batman TV show was a 30 minute series about a rich businessman named Bruce Wayne) and his young protégé named Dick Grayson. They were also known to the public as Batman and Robin who worked together to rid Gotham City of evildoers. They could move to a crime scene in a hurry by using the Batmobile that was kept in the Batcave that existed below the Wayne mansion. They used their strength and an armory of high tech gadgets to capture ordinary criminals and try to capture a number of more challenging bad guys and gals with abilities of their own.

It aired on the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) network for two and a half seasons from January 12, 1966 to March 14, 1968. Despite its short run, the series had two weekly installments for most of its tenure, giving the show a total of 120 episodes (the equivalent of roughly five regular seasons).
