'Nekromantik' is a 1987 German horror movie directed by Jorg Buttgereit. It stars Daktari Lorenz, Beatrice Manowski, and Harold Lundt. Upon its released this film created a firestorm due to the graphic and disturbing content, and was subsequently banned. Over the years, In addition to being banned in several countries, it has built up a cult following due to the graphic nature and rarity of the film.

The story starts off with a very appropriate disclaimer stating that this movie contains disturbing imagery and is not intended for anyone under 18.

We then see a couple driving along a dark and lonely road at night. They seem to be lost, and when looking at the map, they suddenly wreck the car.
The next morning we see the gruesome aftermath of the wreck. We are then introduced to Rob(Lorenz)who works for an accident clean-up crew. Basically, it's Rob's job to clean up dead bodies after traffic accidents and such.
After a day's work we see Rob at his home. Very quickly we see that Rob is not quite normal, it seems that Rob collects 'items' from his work. We are then introduced to his girlfriend, Betty (Manowski) who shares Rob's morbid hobbies and interests, which is evident by her taking a bath in bloody water. These intro scenes work to introduce Rob, his girl and their mental state.
After a somewhat out of place scene that shows the accidental and unfortunate death of an unknown man, we see that Rob's team is cleaning up the remains. The body is decayed and putrid, but in one piece. Obsessed with having a whole corpse as opposed to body parts, Rob steels the corpse and takes it home to share with Betty. What ensues is best left to the imagination, but all things come to and end. Betty growing unsatified with Rob, leaves and takes the body with her, and Rob soon descends into morbid and brutal insanity.
